 THE BUXHOEVEDEN FAMILY
The Buxhoeveden Family is one of the oldest noble families of Europe and the
first of Latvia and Estonia. She is from Saxonian origin and the place where the family is
coming from is Bexhovede/Niedersachsen. In 1182 they founded this roman church.
The family became famous because of the conquest and
christianisation of the Baltic countries. In this area the family lived to the end of
World War II. |
